Viva la Mexico!!!

Wow!! Rodrigo y Gabriela. P and I went to see them last night at the Orpheum and they were incredible! INCREDIBLE!!! We sat in the second row with no one in front of us. Score! We did have a few obnoxious people sitting behind us, reeked of beer and couldn't shut up if you paid them. For a while I thought that it would ruin our evening, but they were quickly drowned out by all the clapping.

If you have any respect for the guitar(whether you play or not), you will love love love their music. Get off your butt and go get their album. You will not regret it! Next time we go to their concert, join us. Cuz you missed out!! BIG TIME!

We went to Peru!! Wait, no .... I mean Piru.

So, I've been doing registry work for the past couple of months. Traveling to many places unknown to me. For instance, Ventura. Is it far? Yes. Is it exciting there? No. But the drive to and fro is so beautiful and serene, it's hard to find the energy to complain. If you close your eyes while driving on the 126 (which I do not recommend), you can guess all the different crops that are being harvested that season. Amazing. Fruit stands left and right. Picturesque sunrises and sunsets. And XM radio. Yesh.

One day, I noticed a sign "Lake Piru, fishing and camping, 6 miles." I says to myself, I don't see no lake. Perhaps we should investigate. With some friends.

Well, what da ya know. There is a lake!

Protect me, please.

Thanks KT! Delish!!

I didn't know fish liked glitter. And why does it stink so bad?!?!

Oh crap!! I can see the bottom from here!

Jenn, please tell me that was your foot.

Bluegill!!

And bass.

Good times. Good times.

Thanks Piru! You're beautiful.

BUG!!!!

, originally uploaded by philandsandra.

Vancouver was great! It was busy with tourists just like us. And it's not even time for the winter Olympics yet! Btw, if you're going this winter, it's going to be amazing. Vancouver has something for everybody, no joke. We did a lot of walking. A LOT A LOT. My feet are still buzzing. We took advantage of public transportation as much as we could. And can I just say, damn those Vancouverites are fit! The only chubby folk there were us tourists! We ate lots, slept in for the most part and shopped. By the time we returned to the hotel, we were pooped. After reading a few pages of Harry Potter, I would pass out. And I rarely pass out.

In the morning, I'd slowly wake up, rested and refreshed from sleeping on the Heavenly Bed. But something was missing. Something to make my wake-up ritual complete. Did I stretch? Yup, did that. Did I do my rapid eye-blinking to clear any eye boogers? Yeah, can't help that. Yawned and sneezed. Check. What did I miss?! Oh no!!! I didn't get my morning kiss from Bug! Every morning he waits for daybreak like a rooster and jumps on the bed. Crawls slowly towards my face and licks me twice. Sometimes it means he's gotta go number 1 and 2....bad. But usually he's just happy it's morning and that there's still someone home to play with.

*sniff sniff*

Oh Canada...

, originally uploaded by philandsandra.

Vancouver.... finally returning to Canada after all these years. Though I don't think I've ever been to Vancouver. The weather is warm...hot even. And humid. Not Asia or Florida humid...but enough to get your glands going.

We did a lot more than we planned on doing this first day. So, we're beat.
But look here for the rest of the day's photos.

Follow your ears!

The earrings have moved. I didn't want to bore our readers, especially the ones who don't have ears. So, have a look!
