Sea? Food? What's that?!

My in-laws are like any other Koreans of their generation when it comes to cuisine.  They LOVE seafood!  So for my MILs birthday and for Mother's Day,  we decided to try something new and meet up for some fresh seafood by the coast.  After some help from the good folks on FB, we set out destination for San Pedro.  Ports O'Call to be exact.  They have a bunch of restaurants all bunched together.  The menus are almost identical so you really just have to gamble.  They even have a free bus that takes you from port to port.  It was actually really nice there and W had a blast with his grandparents.  N was chill as ever, of course.  I think we'll be hanging out there again before the year's end.

Finally something to distract W from his Leap Pad!
Which fish should I pick?

Even with the rubber bands, I'm still afraid of these things.

Hammi and Habi!  Now I can have some fun!!!

This smile.

I think he's having fun, don't you?

Jellyfish!

We have memberships to a bunch of different places.  The Aquarium is one of them and it's a great place to go if we just want to kill a couple of hours and have W nap in the car.  His new obsession?  The jellyfish.  Boy does he love the jellyfish.  And I loooove the way he imitates them with his mouth!!!  He hasn't really taken to the sea otters like I thought he would, but that's probably because those guys are always sleeping when we go.

He could stand there forever.  Admittedly, they are mesmerizing.

W loves all things that go round and round.  Including a school of fish!

Hi shrimp.  I eat you for lunch.  NOT!

Come here, sting ray!

HERE I AM!!

LOL!!  I think the ray scared him.

Look at how he's standing!  Such a big boy now.

I love this picture.  W is smiling as ordered, but N is clearly thinking WTF is that lady wearing?

My fav.  My babies.

New Kids On The Block

I know.  It's been crazy in our house.  Nothing major, just your everyday life stuff.  But somehow, with two little boys, it's crazy.  Just getting out of the house takes an hour!!!  And we've done a lot since that Day Out with Thomas.  So I decided instead of rambling on about how many loads of laundry I do a week, I'm just gonna post a bunch of photos up to catch us up.

So some of us mamas met up with our new ones in tow.  It's insane because now we have DOUBLE the amount of kids from the last time we got together!!!!  It's like that footage you see of the chromosomes dividing themselves into two.  Lots of fun!!!

That's my little man N and his new friend R.  He's teary here but mostly, he's all smiles and giggles.

Big brother B..... being brave on the slide all by himself!

Normally he doesn't like potato chips.  But I guess he's already falling into peer pressure.

Nothing puts W in a better mood than a good hike with his pals.

Here's W, belting out the birthday song to his auntie.

I hope these boys always play nice with each other.

Surrounded by squishy, squirmy cuteness!!!   LOVE IT!!!!

This picture is upside down.  Don't have a clue how that happened.

That's better.  Aren't they adorable?

Studs... all of em.

I think R is teething.  There really is no other reason for sucking on a friends foot.

Choo-Choo!!!!

We got word from a friend that Thomas was in town.  Day Out With Thomas is what they call it. So, duh, we HAD to go see him!!  We went all the way to Fillmore to see the famous blue train.  I won't lie and say W was super excited about it.  I'm not sure he understood what was going on half the time.  He was so hot and out of it for the most part.  Unfortunately, my poor W takes after me.  He has no tolerance for heat.  Sigh.  But it was really cool to see and boy! do a lot of people love that train!!!  They only come around once a year, traveling the nation for all the Thomas train lovers to enjoy.  So it gets pretty crowded.

They had a bunch of old trains you could explore and climb on.
They even had a fire truck with a fireman who would take you up to see all the gadgets and such.  But like I said, W was in a funky mood.  He didn't even want to get close to it.  We had to force him to take the picture on the back of truck with daddy.  You'll thank us later, son.

Tents with activities for the kiddies.

Sir Topham Hatt was there!

What?  I can't hear you.  I'm hot.

Awwww!!!  My little cutie!

N's first train ride!

Fake smile.  I love his fake smile.
Look at my baby's red cheeks :(

Even N was hot.  Look at him pulling his pants up.

I always get a little worried when I see this train tables at toy stores.  W wants to play with them so badly, but there's always some aggressive kids, hogging all the trains and W just stand there, looking me with those sad eyes, asking for a train to play with.  I can't just take from a kid, can I?  It's a great opportunity for W to see what sharing is about, and sometimes the parents are real good about it and asks their kid to share with W.

But as you can see, W isn't too great at it himself.  He thinks sharing is when you offer someone else what you have and they say "no" so you can keep it.  He'll offer, but then gets real upset if you actually take it.  And he gets worried that other kids are going to jack him, which happens all the time, he starts to hoard the ones he can get his hands on.  He'll just walk around the table with a bunch of trains in his arms.
The only decent picture I got of Thomas.

Muah!!  I love this face!

Um, somebody gave our son some cherry slushie.

Daddy is trying to teach W the concept of sharing again.
